Great Joy

Oh the joy continues to flow... Eli and Gray are just a joy. Eli is continuing to thrive!!!

He is going to be a comedian like his Daddy. Eli pulls funny stuff out of his sleeve all the time. Last night he grabbed a Santa hat with a beard and started talking to everyone at Walgreens. He was also kinda lightly jumping to make his belly shake. (ha!!! There is not a belly) He was saying, "ho, ho, ho!" Gray would then introduce him as Santa... To complete strangers of course. Oh my! The two just love each other and are truly partners in crime.

Over last week Eli and Gray caught the stomach flu and then I came down with it on Saturday night. Eli has been very concerned about me. He comes and rubs my belly....he wants my pain to go away. Eli, son, you have such a loving heart. You are always very concerned about your Mama and whether Gray is obeying or not. Eli you and your Daddy have matching smiles I am convinced.

Also, while driving around and looking at lights we will occassionally see the cars with the red nose and antlers. Eli immediately says, "It's a bull!!!!!!" (Andy plays "the bull" with the kids in the evening and chases them around.) This makes me laugh everytime.

Eli is almost 40 lbs and about an inch taller than Gray. He is almost done with his anemia weekly blood draws. Oh yes... Thank you Jesus!and Dr. McDaniel, Dr. Davis, Dr. Rothmann and every nurse in the hematology dept that helped take Eli's blood during these crazy appointments... And to the very nice man in the valet parking you knows Eli everytime we visit. What an amazing facility. Vandy Childrens... You rock!

Gray is so funny. She loves to hide in her tent....aka tunnel. She is so loud while hiding so of course any of us can find her. She is just bursting with anticipation while waiting to be found. She continues to cook for us and stroll her baby around. She still continues to mention baby sister but I am convinced she does not understand gender yet. She will interchangeably say boy and girl now. We gotta work on that one.

I believe that Eli thinks he is a super hero. He loves Captain America and Iron Man and any ninja. He has only seen the characters in the stores. It will take years before he is ever allowed go watch some of these movies. They are definitely not little kid friendly. He thinks dinosaurs are awesome!!! His excitement just makes you giggle when he sees these things.

I have been getting many questions about how Eli will like Christmas this year. I mean don't get me wrong he will like opening presents but sweet Eli is just grateful to have a family that loves him, a roof over his head, and food to eat. I genericly answer the question when asked because you cannot possibly understand how Eli feels. He is just grateful to have us. I am grateful to be his Mommy and be able to share about Jesus.

Eli can rock out on Jesus loves me!!!

Much love to you all during the amazing season of celebrating our Lord and Savior's birth! Happy Christmas everyone!

After Christmas... You all can view our adoption video Kyle Johnson made for us.... It quite frankly makes me get choked up every time I see it.

And Zachary Kale..thanks for letting us use your awesome new single to place with our adoption video. Much appreciated!!!

Brother and Sister so happy together!
