Update on E man

We received news today on our Eli. We received the court paperwork from Court #1 hearing back on March 14th. Oh yes, two weeks later. I have to keep reminding myself that in DRC things move at a much slower pace. So after hearing this pleasant news Sister "C" from our adoption agency told us that after the 1st Court then there is usually 2 weeks to the 2nd Court hearing. So I paused and said, "Wait, so Eli's 2nd court hearing could potentially could be happening right now?" She said "yes" and we rejoiced and cried tears of joy together. Either today or by the next week we are told "Yes, Andy & Leslianna are able to Adopt Eli." Then we wait around 30 days (again estimated) to receive the final paperwork from Court #2. The final paperwork in Court #2 is called the Adoption Deed and also receiving Eli's DRC birth certificate. In English this means he is about to be ours after everything passes on the US side at the embassy. Our lawyer, JP, will walk Eli's paperwork to the US Embassy in DRC. From there JP will represent Andy and I to make things official from the US side. Then we wait on the call about his Visa. Then we travel! Hooray!

So keep up the prayers everyone and we are asking for prayers tonight at 7pm that things continue to go well. Again...things are going great!!!!

Some specifics are listed below on prayers for this adoption process:
1. Protection over Eli and preparation for his heart to meet his Mommy & Daddy
2. Decisions and actions by our lawyer, nicknamed- JP.
3. Wisdom for Eli's orphanage director, nicknamed Brother "D" who has been helping JP in this process to make sure that JP is doing everything with great wisdom
4. For Andy and I as we prepare our hearts for E man and for future travel over the next few months.

Praises to our Father and again for HIS amazing timing. We will continue to "let go and let God."
