Reminders this week

For those that have seen me this week my heart has been super, duper heavy for our E man. Struggling to stay focused is an understatement at this point. I know the Lord has this! I KNOW THIS! It is hard to wait. However, you will see below that the Lord is taking us thru this process for a reason...He has things that He is working on and if we hurry thru the process then we miss the blessings.

So for those that don't know the Lord and want to know some visual, handheld confirmations that He is there and making sure that Andy and I know HE HAS GOT THIS....well here ya go!

Start of the week: Monday, March 19th...received email from adoption agency that there was no movement on Eli's adoption. So my heart did a semi-pouty face...But knew that God just wasn't ready for us to have Eli yet. After all...Eli is our Father's.

Receiving comfort, peace and confidence from our Lord..

Example #1 (Tuesday, March 20th): We received notice that one of our adoption grants was moving forward in the process and that they would see what funds they had available to provide a matching grant to us. (Sounds pretty positive to me!)

Example #2 (Wednesday, March 21st): Anonymous and friends donating to our adoption process ....just out of love. Talk about humbling, grateful tears that have flowed this week.

Example #3 (Thursday, March 22nd): A simple white sheet of paper with Eli's hand and foot traced.

You might say a coincidence....but with my Lord and Savior He is reminding me to just hang tight and Eli will be home soon. Until then Eli is being cared for by the ultimate caregiver. To think I can do a better job is just plain silly.

Thanks to all for the encouragement and precious hugs we have received! Our brothers and sisters in Christ are ministering to us out of love and we are so grateful.

I cannot tell you how I have felt closer to our Lord thru this process than probably ever before...because He has humbled us, instructed us, provided visual confirmations, confirmations thru others, strange phone calls, loving and kind reminders from friends, answered prayers, not answered prayers, provided answers to questions we just could not answer, etc. The list goes on....

This adoption has taught me to not skip one single day without being in communication with my God. Going with no communication creates division and separation...the Lord wants you to be in constant contact. Just like on earth...communicate often with friends and family so that so much time does not pass and there become a void and awkwardness there. Don't let your day go by without talking to your Heavenly Father. He is waiting to hear from you...even if He doesn't always answer back. Read His most precious gift...His Word, the Living, Breathing Bible. Fellowship with other believers that also love the Lord! Love on those that don't know Him. God will fellowship with you for sure during this time. Don't be alone in your circumstances or have a hard day without knowing that God has provided endless resources to be in communion with Him...Don't miss the opportunity every single day to be a part of His LOVE and plan for you!!!
